I’m at the point in my life where I want my friendships to be easy. I want to be with people I am comfortable with. People that know and like you for who you are. People you can be totally relaxed around. One thing I don’t do often enough is relax. But this weekend I relaxed a lot more than normal. It was fun just hanging out by the pool with good friends and enjoying each other’s company while the kids played in the pool. We did this two days in a row! Unfortunately all my pictures are from the first day, because I forgot to take any the second day. Oops!
My husband smoked ribs both days. He does it all summer long for parties. I’ll have to get the recipe from him and share. We won a smoker at a silent auction we went to a few years back. I love having it, but now I think he’d like a bigger one. Something for me to keep in mind down the road!

Yes, it looks like you all had a great time. And smoked ribs? How lucky to have those two days in a row. I agree, the best type of friends are those who are easy going, who get you and accept you. I really enjoyed the nice long weekend, and got a little pool time too!

Looks like a great holiday! I too have a hard time relaxing. I actually took 4 days off from work, which is hard because I have a home office. It was great.
On another note, my husband found a smoker at the dump one day. It was in perfect condition and works great. Love smoked ribs!

I love this photo collage, it says it all! We went down to Long Island over the weekend. Usually I am reluctant to pack our car with our three person-two dog family, but it ended up being such a blast!
